Certification

CzechTrade successfully passed the performance evaluation of its management system according to International Quality Rating System (IQRS) standards.
Since 2002 CzechTrade has held ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification. In 2009 recertification of the quality management system was carried out according to the standards of the International Quality Rating System (IQRS). This international assessment system is unique in that it includes all the criteria for meeting the certification requirements according to the international ISO 9001 and QS 9000 standards, the EFQM Excellence Model for business success and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (the national award of the USA for quality). It thus provides a comprehensive view of an organisation’s performance and the level of maturity of the organisation’s management system.
CzechTrade’s management system was assessed on the basis of this unique method as being mature and fully comparable with good, productive organisations from the private sector.
“It is not often that we see a state organisation whose performance management is comparable to the private sector. It is difficult for a public sector organisation to find capable managers and stabilise them,” says Juraj Kramara from Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
