Metrostav has won the tender for building a new metro depot in Istanbul, Turkey. The company will also build a funicular in the city. The funicular contract is worth ca. CZK 760m, daily E15 writes. Metrostav bid ca. CZK 590m for the depot. Czech building companies are attempting to compensate lower domestic contracts with work abroad. Metrostav is successful in the long run in Scandinavia and recently has won a major contract in Iceland.
