The Czech company Tatra has its sole dealer for the Australasian region in Australia and is cooperating with THT, another Czech company on Fire-fighter trucks. One of these could be seen at the AFAC17.

Offroad Trucks Australia (OTA) is the Australasian dealer for Czech Tatra Trucks for over 20 years. OTA is the sole importer of Tatra Trucks to the region and also provides spare parts, service, repairs and driver training. The design of Tatra Trucks is custom built to suit any requirement which is also one of the main competitive advantages of Tatra Trucks in Australia.

For many years Tatra in cooperation with THT manufacture fire-fighting trucks suited for emergency interventions as well as fire-fighting. One of these trucks was successfully exhibited at the AFAC17 with the Managing Director of Offroad Trucks representing the brand.

AFAC17 - the Fire & Emergency Management Conference organised by Deutsche Messe and Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC took place at the new state-of-the-art International Convention Centre Sydney for 4 days this week. Over 2 500 emergency management professionals hosted the event with over 170 exhibitors. It was brought back to Sydney for the first time after six years. The conference connects the wisdom of experience, research and analysis from all across the sector.

Running alongside with the conference was also an exhibition with the latest emergency services and technology displaying vehicles and vehicle equipment, fire extinguishing technology, personal protective equipment and lot more.

Purchasing fire-fighting trucks in Australia is ran through state government tenders. Furthermore, governments of each state have their own tender systems in place. The company Offroad Trucks Australia will be participating at these tenders to introduce Czech Tatra fire-fighting model to Australia. OTA also became the sole dealer for Czech Tatra Trucks in New Zealand where this model should be sold as well.
