KOH-I-NOOR – producer of metal haberdashery

KOH-I-NOOR is a leading traditional producer of metal haberdashery in the Czech Republic. The company was established in 1902 and since 1994, KOH-I-NOOR Prague has been again a 100% Czech-owned shareholding company, which employs around 200 people. The production of traditional metal haberdashery goods was later extended by the production of zip fasteners and other small metal products, for instance stationery rivets, zamak alloy products for the car industry, metal couplings, etc.

The company’s self-sufficiency is contributed by its own production of instruments and moulds, construction of machines, department of chemistry where final surfacing of the products is done, as well as printing and cardboard departments providing the company with retail and distributive packings. The products are commonly supplied in retail packings on cards or loose.

The quality of the company products is guaranteed by 45 trademarks and since 2002 the company has been ISO 9001:2001 certified. Around 50 % of the production is exported directly or though the business representatives into more than fifty countries in the world. Among the main export territories are EU countries, the Middle and Far East, South America, the USA and Canada.
