Wyman-Gordon is a leading producer of high quality vacuum remelted alloy steels for the world’s most demanding applications. The company is ISO 9001 certified and delivers its products among others to Airbus A340 and Boeing 737.
Its business includes the re-melting of supplied electrodes in a VAR (vacuum arc re-melting) furnace or ESR furnace (electro slag re-melting) ranging from 2 - 7 tonnes. In co-operation with prime steel processing companies in the Czech Republic, Wyman-Gordon provides Aerospace, Industrial and Commercial markets with forged billet, pre-forms, bar or rod through a combination of open-die forged and rolling operations. These processes, both melting and conversion to product, are essential when supplying steel grades with high levels of strength, cleanliness and consistency.
