ČEZ Group has launched two ABB fast recharging stations for electric vehicles at McDonald's in Průmyslová street in Prague. The charging rack infrastructure is partly funded from the European Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) grant.
The McDonald's chain equips the parking lots at its restaurants with fast-moving racks that allow most electric cars to recharge 80% of the battery capacity in about 20 to 30 minutes. Within the CEF, ČEZ plans to build more than 100 fast recharging stations by the end of 2020, some of which are already serving the public.
