Czech cybersecurity company Avast is experiencing a boom

Software group Avast reported adjusted revenues of USD 811.5m for 2018, up 8.3% y/y. The adjusted EBITDA indicator grew 6.7% to USD 447.7m, with adjusted EBITDA margin of 54.1%. The proposed dividend for the period from May 15 until December 31, 2018, totals 8.6 cents per share. The no. of the group’s product users increased to 12.19 million (up 7.2%) since the end of the 2017 fiscal year. The average no. of services per client grew to 1.40 (up 6.0%) and the revenue per customer increased by 8.6% to USD 49.24. Executive director Vincent Steckler has stated that the improved economic results were driven by doubled digit growth in the consumer PC antivirus segment. He expects the group’s adjusted revenues to grow by higher percentage units in 2019, together with a stable EBITDA margin.
