The history of the Porcelain Factory in Slavkov goes back to 1792 when the first factory in Bohemia was founded by Johann Georg Paulus. Due to successful trials with kaolin-, feldspar- and silica-based material, the factory obtained a privilege for the manufacture of porcelainware in 1812. The Porcelain Factory had become very prosperous between 1803-1843 owing to Georg Lippert, a native of Slavkov, a mine physicist and physician. Since 1867 Georg Haas and Johann Czjzek took over the management of the factory. At that time the Haas & Czjzek brand appeared for the first time in the world, becoming famous later on and still having meaning in the field of porcelain.
The company is specialized in manufacturing porcelain tableware with unique design as well as handmade replicas of historical cups or vases decorated with handpainted motifs.
The quality control system for all processes is implemented and certified by ISO 9001 norms.

The company produces several types of the porcelain design, such as SIMONA - classic tableware , which has been produced since 1938, AETERNA - traditional blue onion patter, TEREZA, UNO - new modern shapes or 2390 - retro style from thirties of 20th century.
The flagship of the Haas & Czjzek porcelain collection is decoration by the genuine acid etching technique. Acid etching, with a two pass application of 24 carat gold and/or platinum, gives an impression of a fine filigree. Hand made replicas of historical cups or vases are decorated by hand painted motifs and show the creme de la creme of unique master craftsmanship.
