MEDIN, the joint-stock company is the greatest Czech producer of instruments for human medicine in all main fields of medical specializations, inclusive the bone surgery and implants for traumatology, the surgery and rotary dental instruments.
MEDIN, the joint-stock company, having its headquarters in Nové Město na Moravě commenced its activity on May 4, 1992 as a legal successor to the former state-owned enterprise Chirana Nové Město na Moravě. A long standing tradition of surgical instruments production, founded as early as 1949, has established a know-how which makes possible to take an adequate position on the market in the Czech Republic, and also successfully competes on the fastidious international markets.
The complex of production, auxiliary and administration buildings of the company meets the strict environmental aspects with the applied technologies and energy sources.
The level, quality and safety of all instruments is carefully evaluated. The accent of quality and safety of instruments is traditionally anchored with the company policy of quality and company strategy. To secure these requirements we use the effective procedures according to the International Standard EN ISO 9001 and the European Standard EN 46001 which certificates are regularly renewed by us. An important field is the observance of legislative conditions with the placing of products on the market, mainly of the European Directive Medical Devices 93/42/EEC.

Range of surgical instruments MEDIN, a.s. is suitable for everyday surgical application. Except instruments for common surgery the company offers instruments even for special surgical branches.
They offer above all cutting instruments, scissors, forceps, clamps, bone rongeurs, grasping forceps, hooks, retractors, spatulas, speculas, elevators, raspatories, spoons, curettes, saws, files, chisels, mallets, burs, drills, needle holders, needles, probes, trocares, suction tubes, dilators and special instruments.
You can choose from many types, sorts and styles. They offer the most integral assortment of surgical instruments in the market, exploitable in many different fields such as: otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, stomatosurgery and others.

All the products are developed and produced in compliance with certified procedures, emphasising the quality and customers´ requirements.
The core of traumatologic assortment form: femoral, retrograde, reconstructional, tibial and humeral nails, hip and knee replacements, bone screws and plates, implants for fixation of small bone fragments, implants for reconstruction of crossed knee ligaments and implants for spine stabilisation. They also offer complete instrumentation to the relevant implants for operation performation, possibly single special instruments.

Implants for orthopaedics are developed and produced in our filial company MEDIN Orthopaedics, a.s.
Knee and hip replacements are the main products of orthopaedic portfolio. Knee replacements are supplied in version Universal and Modular. Modular system enables complete adaptation to the surgeon`s requirements. Knee joint replacement systems include some variants of hip sockets, heads and stems made of titanium or implant steel. We also offer silicone implants such as finger joint replacements, tendons and trapezias. Wrist and polex replacements are supplied on special request. They offer complete instrumentation to the relevant implants for operation performation.

The company offers a large assortment of hand and rotary dental instruments for surgeries and labs. The tradition of their production has been almost sixty years.
Additionally, the company offers an integral assortment of hand instruments up to instruments for dental surgery. Rotary dental instruments present root instruments, carbide burs and diamond burs. All in great choice covering common and also special requirements of dentists.
The lab assortment include basic line of modelling instruments, forceps and casting rings. The rotary instruments are mainly laboratory cutters in steel and carbide version.

In co-operation with medical wards and companies they realise custom-made production and adjustments of medical instruments. According to their customers´ wishes they perform service and repairs of medical devices.
Their assortment also includes instruments and implants for veterinary medicine.
They offer cutters from fast-cutting steel, diamond discs and special diamond instruments for technical branches and industrial use.

Sterilization container system is determined for sterilization and storage of instruments and textiles. Germfree materials are stored in the container after the sterilization until the nearest usage.
They offer containers for sterilization in two basic style – with anti-bacillary filtration system or valve containers.
Besides containers for sterilization with anti-bacillary filtration system and valve containers with taking lid off or with hinges they offer endoscopy containers, dental containers and removal containers. We offer accessories to all kind of containers for sterilization too.
Containers for sterilization are certified in compliance with contemporary law and directives.
