Analysts predict drop in optimism in industry
Tendencies towards the decline of overall confidence in the Czech economy may be anticipated in late 2018 or no later than in 2109, Generali
Investments CEE’s chief economist Radomír Jáč predicts. Mr. Jáč has added that increased protectionism in global trade and decelerating growth
of industrial orders in the eurozone will sooner or later affect also Czech industry. Komerční banka’s economist Monika Junicke has commented on
the data from the Czech Statistical Office that the October boost in confidence is driven primarily by consumers’ optimism, while entrepreneurs’
confidence remained unchanged.
