The result was significantly boosted by the SUV models KODIAQ and KAROQ and by the OCTAVIA and FABIA model lines. The company wants to continue its growth in 2019 as well, with the new SCALA model expanding the portfolio in the A segment playing an important role. Apart from the SUV offensive, the brand also focuses on themes such as e-mobility, digitisation and internationalisation. Another objective is to expand the number of markets on which ŠKODA is active from 103 to 120 countries.

New ŠKODA passenger car registrations in EU in 9M 2018 grew by 5.4% y/y to 542,118. The brand’s market share increased to 4.5% from 4.4%. In September alone, 45,307 ŠKODA cars were registered in the EU (down 28.1%). The market share dropped to 4.2% from 4.4%.
