Czech carmaker ŠKODA AUTO brand’s deliveries up to 107,100 cars in April.
ŠKODA brand’s global deliveries to clients grew by 10.1% y/y to 107,100 vehicles in April 2018. Carmaker ŠKODA AUTO has informed that the brand’s sale on the biggest market in China increased by 34%. Sales in Eastern Europe and Russia grew at double-digit pace as well. Board of directors member Alain Favey has stated that this is the best result ever for April. He has added that future demand is driven primarily by SUV models and that the recently presented KAMIQ model for the Chinese market will go on sale soon.
ŠKODA AUTO also sold record 7,823 cars in CR
Car brand ŠKODA reported the sale of record 7,823 vehicles in CR in April 2018, up 454 y/y. Cumulatively, ŠKODA sold 30,497 cars on the Czech market in 4M 2018 (up 2,928 y/y). ŠKODA AUTO Česká republika’s sales organisation’s director Luboš Vlček has added that the sales network’s consistent performance is confirmed by the high no. of incoming orders, which will be reflected in the registration statistics in the next period.
ŠKODA vehicle registrations in Germany up to 68,101
In the January to April 2018 period registrations of ŠKODA brand vehicles in Germany increased by 12.0 % to 68,101 automobiles. Their share of overall registrations totaled 5.7 %. In April alone the number of ŠKODA registrations on the German market increased by 12.5 % to 17,075. The brand’s market share reached 5.4 %. This is based on statistics from Germany’s federal motor transport authority (KBA).
