Czech economy grew 4.7% y/y and 2.5% q/q in Q2 2017. This stems from the precised data from the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ). The country has thus reported the highest increase in gross domestic product (GDP) in the European Union. The growth is driven by multiple factors, it is supported by both domestic and foreign demand and most sectors fare well. The unusually high growth rate benefits primarily from processing industry – car production, as well as higher production of electric appliances and devices.
