Inflation up to 2.6% y/y in June

Inflation was influenced mainly by higher prices of consumer goods, housing and transportation.

Consumer prices grew 0.4% m/m in June 2018. The development was influenced mainly by higher prices of housing and transportation. Goods prices grew totally by 0.3% and service prices by 0.4%. Year-on-year, the consumer price growth accelerated to 2.6% in June, up 0.4 p.p. on May. The inflation rate, quantified as the increment of the average consumer price index over the last 12 months against the previous 12 months, totalled 2.3%. This stems from the data from the Czech Statistical Office.
