Global supplies to customers of the brand ŠKODA increased 11.6% y/y to 652,700 units in the first half of 2018. According to information provided by ŠKODA AUTO, the brand delivered 116,500 units (+10.8%) in June 2018. The growth was supported primarily by models SUV KODIAQ and KAROQ. According to board of directors chairman Bernhard Maier, he coped with certain limitations in H2 2018 due to the introduction of the new test procedure Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). Supplies of some models to customers will be thus postponed due to that. The production of the current FABIA has been sold out before the planned modernisation. The production of the modernised version will likely begin in August 2018. Škoda is the biggest Czech exporter to Israel.
