Drop-press s.r.o. was established in the Czech Republic in 1994, 80 km east of the capital Prague. The Company operates two manufacturing plants:

· Plant D-P No. I – foundry

· Plant D-P No. II - finishing, shaping, tool-making shop

The two plants, adjacent to each other, together employ 150 people. An important milestone in the Company`s history was 1998. In this year the Company obtained certification for implementing and applying a quality control and assurance system in the manufacturing process "Production and Machining of Precision Light Alloy Castings" in accordance with the standard DIN EN ISO 9002:1994. One year later it was decided to expand to VDA 6.1

The follow up shaping works are done in the finishing shop. The castings are shaped by manual operations and by machining, and are assembled into subassemblies. Surface finishing is done by:

· blasting

· tumbling

· ball burnishing

· polishing

· powder colouring

· cathophoresis (KTL)

· pressure tests

Manufacture of pressure casting and shaping tools ensuring development and production moulds, construction processing of documentation for tool design.

The tool shop produces:

· pressure casting moulds

· trimming tools

· machining tools

· special production aids (SVP)

· inspection, measuring and testing equipment (KMZZ)

· special and communal tools
