J. Jindra s.r.o. - Custom-made Manufacturing of Copper and Aluminum Alloys Forgings. Machining and Tool-making.
(Industrial Cooperation - Detail)
Company profile :
The beginnings of the company stretch back to the year 1909 when Mr J. Jindra established his factory. The original small workshop manufacturing a broad variety of household products gradually changed into a factory producing armatures. The innovative mind and technical acumen of the owner raised the quality of the factory in the years 1918 – 1948, securing its firm position among the best armature factories in the Czechoslovakia.
The backbone of the current production program is the custom-made manufacturing of forgings made of copper and aluminum alloys. The company also constructs and produces die forgings as well as small size armatures and it also machines its own forgings. The company`s construction department is equipped with state-of-the-art computing technology and is ready to implement your requirements in short delivery terms. The company has a stable team of highly qualified technicians and laborers and continues to invest in new technologies, which guarantees the company`s dynamic development. Our priority goal is to satisfy the ever-growing needs of our customers and to continually improve the technical perfection and quality of our products. In June 2002, the company assumed quality management control according to EN ISO 9001:2000. We believe that this decision will enable us to acquire new customers at home and abroad because the company`s tradition commits us to do so.

Forgings of the Alloys of Copper and Aluminium
The forge shop focuses on the production of die forgings of the alloys of copper and aluminium. In some cases, it can also use blanks manufactured in its own foundry. An additional production program includes forgings made of various materials that are up to 3.5 mm thick. The forge shop is equipped with friction and crank presses with a pressing force of 63 t – 1,000 t. Some presses are provided with fittings for hollow forging (horizontal and vertical). The most frequently used press is fitted with manipulators that facilitate forging in an automatic mode that meets the highest requirements for labor productivity and the quality of forgings. Once the flashes have been trimmed, the forgings are blasted in a standard way. Upon request, the forgings can be pickled, or ground and then polished, meanwhile their surface is passivated. We can also secure different types of galvanic treatment. The designing and construction of forgings is based on the CAD/CAM program as well as on cooperation with research workplaces and universities. The application of the simulation of individual processes is commonplace.
MACHINING
The backbone production program is the highly efficient CNC machining of forgings and of shaped parts made of copper and aluminum alloys. The machining shop has a total of 7 CNC automatic lathes and a CNC milling center. A part of the CNC automatic lathes specializes in the production of parts made of rod intermediates. In addition to these automated and highly precise machining processes we also offer standard machining suitable for a smaller product series. The machining center also secures the manufacturing of armatures and small assembly wholes, including their surface finish as per the customer`s instructions.
TOOL MAKING
Our company also has a tool shop. This center is equipped with production capacity that covers the needs of the parent company as well as of external requirements. The tool shop orientates on the design, construction, and production of tools, on the production of prototype parts and tools. Tool shop production is supported by a quality, expanding team of specialists, by modern, high-quality mechanical and software equipment used for the designing and processing of technical documentation as well as for the implementation of projects. Designing and construction makes use of the CAD/CAM software, namely Unigraphics and Solid Edge. Production is carried out with standard or CNC machining machine tools. The tool shop has been certified according to EN ISO 9001:2000. This certification along with a stable team of employees and supreme mechanical equipment are a sound guarantee of the high quality of production.
TUMBLING AND POLISHING
Tumbling and polishing, if any, is carried out in an independent operational shop. Surface finish according to the customer`s requirements is completed on equipment by Rösler. This technology can be applied to various materials, the most frequent of which are the alloys of copper, aluminium as well as various kinds of steel. With steel forgings, this method proves useful during deburring.
