The company PELLWOOD was established by Ivan Pelisek in 1990 who has been involved in producing drumsticks ever since 1969. PELLWOOD uses 2 sorts of wood to produce 33 types of drumsticks and brushes. PELLWOOD drumsticks are exported to 29 countries.

The production of PELLWOOD drumsticks combines a state-of-the-art technology and classical methods. The wood is left to dry out in a natural way out of doors, only at the final stage the drying process is completed in the condensing drying kiln to achieve the required humidity. This considerate treatment preserves the full quality and characteristics of the wood.
The dehydrated wood is then sorted out. We use only the best quality wood to produce the PELLWOOD drumsticks.
The sticks that do not meet our high requirements fall into B-LINE. The selected wood is then cut to pieces and then is lathed on a special machine by Hempel. When turned, the sticks are allowed to season to let the material show any potential tension. Then comes the first close inspection.
When sorted out, the sticks are abraded, then inspected again, and this is followed by our - by now traditional - treatment: putting on a fine layer of varnish not hiding the natural structure of the wood that prevents the sticks from being slippery in the hands and attributes to a fine and pleasant feel. Each PELLWOOD drumstick undergoes a manual role-check and is provided with a label and a logo. Finally, the sticks a coupled into pairs matching in wood density and weight and out comes a COMPLETE SET.
