ŠKODA AUTO made record 886,100 cars in the Czech Republic.

ŠKODA AUTO’s production plants in Mladá Boleslav and Kvasiny manufactured record 866,100 vehicles in 2018, up 3.3% y/y.

The Vrchlabí plant, specialising in component production, manufactured ca. 538,760 DQ 200 transmission units. Other components are made in Mladá Boleslav in addition to 602,970 MQ 200 and MQ/SQ 100 transmissions, the staff in the main production facility made also 584,880 engines. ŠKODA AUTO has also informed that it will invest EUR 2bn into electric mobility and new mobility services until 2025, to secure the long-term future of the Czech automotive industry. In 2019, the company will start manufacturing the fully electric version of the ŠKODA CITIGO vehicle and ŠKODA SUPERB with plug-in hybrid drive.
