Czech fintech startup BudgetBakers, which develops personal finance management application Wallet, obtained a license from the Czech National Bank (CNB) to connect to the API banking interface. Following client approval, the Wallet automatically obtains transaction information directly from the bank and not just by engaging auxiliary applications. At the moment, only some of the Czech banks are ready for the new procedure, while the rest has the time until September 2019, when the PSD2 directive will begin to apply. The directive orders banks to make client account data available to third parties.
