Ostrava steelworks ArcelorMittal is modernizing for CZK 296m three electrostatic filters that are used as the first level of flue gas dedusting in the agglomeration.

With their modernization the steelworks will reduce the electricity consumption of filters in the northern part of the agglomeration by half and thus save non-renewable sources. Companies ZVVZ-Enven Engineering and ZK – Termochem are taking part in the work. For lowering final energy consumption ArcelorMittal Ostrava will get for the project a subsidy totaling CZK 23m from the Industry and Trade Ministry of the Czech Republic from program OPPIK.
