ČEZ plans to renew electricity generation from Unit 2 of the Temelín nuclear power plant during the week that started on August 27, 2018. The unit has already been started up, and physical and energy tests will follow. The unit was shut down on June 29 due to a planned fuel exchange and inspections. Unit 1 was shut down from December 2017 to the beginning of March 2018. Currently, Unit 1 runs on full operation. Since the beginning of 2018, Temelín has generated 9.2 TWh of electricity.
