The Czech Republic belongs to the countries having the most mobile-only households in the EU

E-Communications household survey has reported that the Czech Republic is the country having the most mobile-only households – over than six out of ten households is using only mobile for telecommunication (64%). It is nowadays 40 percentage points higher than for the EU generally. The special Eurobarometer survey analyzed 27 member states of the European Union and measured the attitude of European households toward fixed and mobile telephones, IT equipment and Internet access, TV services and 112 emergency call number. According to the survey Czech households belong to countries where more than half of the households use the Internet to make phone calls. The European average of households using the Internet to make phone calls is 22%. The report also stated that 42 % of Europeans know that 112 is the emergency number that can be used all over the Europe The highest level of awareness was recorded in Luxemburg where around eight out of ten citizens (78%) know that 112 is the number to call in the case of emergency, followed by 74% in the Czech Republic and 73% in Slovakia.
