Elektroporcelan Louny a.s. is engaged in a wide scale of application of ceramic processes. The key point can be seen in production of porcelain insulators, but also in that of products made from special ceramic materials, for which extremely high abrasion resistance and mechanical and thermal endurance are typical.

Product assortment includes first of all the ceramic insulators for the LV, HV and E.H.T. systems as well as many other products, including oxidised ceramic products. The insulators are produced in compliance with the standards IEC, ČSN, DIN, BS, ANSI, NF and the customer´s requirements and drawings. They are delivered as bare and reinforced, made from the materials C110, C120 and C130 according to the standard IEC 672.3 and provided with white, brown or grey glaze. They are tested according to the standards IEC 137,168, 233 and 383.

The company ELEKTROPORCELAN LOUNY was established in 1880 and exports the production to Germany, Austria, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands and UK.

The quality system is certified by ISO 9001:2000.

ELEKTROPORCELAN LOUNY consists of 2 division:

Division of Insulators Louny produces first of all the reinforced and non-reinforced insulators designed for power distribution, railway electric systems, switching stations and also for transformers, having an output up to 45 kV.
Division of Insulators Merklin specializes in the production of shell-type insulators for E.H.T. (insulators up to the construction length of 3,200 mm and for voltage up to 400 kV)

Material: quartz porcelain C110 by IEC 672.3 standard.

Outdoor post insulators
Insulators for outdoor electrical equipment or switching stations of AC for voltage up to 35 kV and frequency up to 100 Hz.
Material: quartz porcelain C110 by IEC 672.3 standard.

Indoor and outdoor wall bushings
Indoor bushings for insulation of conductors passing the switching station indoor walls.
Outdoor-indoor bushings for insulation of conductors passing the switching station walls from outside to inside.
Nominal voltage 10 - 35 kV, nominal current up to 1000 A.
