SVITAP J.H.J, s.r.o. has a complex production programme that covers technical-fabrics production (tent fabrics and canvases, flax fabrics, filter and blend fabrics) and technical ready-made clothes, PE canvases, non-woven textiles, upholstery fabrics and blankets, working clothes materials, cleaning textiles and modified textiles (impregnation), tablecloths, towels, bedclothes, geotextiles etc.
The company was founded in 1993 and is a holder of EN ISO 9001:200 certification.

Division II
Division of technical fabrics produces wide range of products in this basic classification:
- multipletwisted yarn
- technical fabrics
- dyeing and finishing of fabrics (in co-operation with the 4th division)
Production of multipletwisted yarn
Production is done on ennular twisters and twisters for two-for-one twisting. The resulting formats are bottle-shaped bobins and cross-wound bobins with weight up to 2 kg. Range of twisted yarn includes all common materials – cotton yarn, viscose yarn, flax yarn, synthetic yarn (polyamide silk, polyester) and also mixed yarn. Twisted yarn is produced in fineness of 60 – 600 tex with a twist of 80 – 600 per 1 m.
Production of technical fabrics
Technical fabrics are produced on heavy shuttle changing looms UTAS 125 and 165, needle machines PICANOL 176 and 237 and DORNIER 190 and 240. Basis weight of fabrics ranges from 180 to 3000 g/m2. Fabrics are produced in various techniques, mainly in plain serve and twill.
Use:
- structural fabrics for production of conveyor belts and V-belts
- tent fabrics and canvases (incl. dyeing and finishing to achieve water-resistance, fungicidal ability, reduced flammability…)
- filter fabrics
- fabrics for shoemaking industry
- fabrics for bags and sacks e.g. mail sacks, coin bags etc.
New fabrics are developed as customer needs arise.
Dyeing and finishing of fabrics
In step with customer requirements the company provides: dyeing of fabrics, waterproofing and fungicidal treatment, flameproofing, farther fixation, calendering and other types of finishing.

Composite fabrics
This year, SVITAP J.H.J. spol s r.o. has purchased the technology and a license for the production of hybrid fabrics based on basalt fibres in combination with organic-polymer or carbon fibres.
Basalt fibres posses extraordinary properties in many regards:
- high strength and high elasticity modulus
- high temperature resistance and usability within a wide range of temperatures
- excellent insulating properties (temperature and sound)
- excellent chemical resistance to most alkalis, organic acids, inorganic acids, organic solvents, most chemicals and other aggressive materials
- high electrical resistance and ability to screen out electromagnetic radiation
- resistance to radioactive contamination
- incombustibility and low content of combustion products
These new materials have proved their usefulness in the production of ships, airplanes and sporting-gear.
