ŠKODA AUTO’s revenues up to EUR 17.29bn

ŠKODA AUTO delivered 1 253 700 vehicles to customers and recorded revenues of EUR 17.29bn in 2018. It will present over 30 new models until 2022, more than 10 of them electric.

ŠKODA AUTO’s revenues in 2018 grew to over EUR 17.29bn from EUR 16.56bn. The operating result totalled almost EUR 1.38bn. Return on revenue totalled 8.0%. Deliveries to customers increased by 4.4% to 1 253 700 vehicles. Investments grew 22% to EUR 896m. The investments were directed e.g. into new products, drive and battery technologies and further development of production plants. The carmaker invested EUR 500m+ into equipment and plants in CR. ŠKODA AUTO’s board of directors chairman Bernhard Maier has stated that the results were affected adversely by exchange rate effects, high investments into technologies for the future and higher personnel costs. In 2019, the brand will start the production of the first plug-in hybrid vehicle and the first fully electric vehicle. ŠKODA AUTO will present over 30 new models until 2022, more than 10 of them electric.
