Czech Scientists have succeeded in constructing a special detector that can, as the first in the world, measure quantum properties of states of light without interfering with them.

A team of scientists from the Department of Optics at the Faculty of Science of Palacký University (UPOL) in Olomouc have succeeded in constructing a special detector that can, as the first in the world, measure quantum properties of states of light without interfering with them. The experiment results open new opportunities for the detection of quantum states of photons and other quantum objects. The Olomouc scientists have thus joined their colleagues from Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia and Yale University in the United States who perform similarly focused experiments.
