Herold Březnice Castle Brewery, a small brewery in Březnice. Beer has been commercially brewed here since 1506. Its age puts it firmly towards the top the list of world's oldest-established companies

Following WWII, the brewery was taken over by the Czech government and became part of the state-owned Institute for Brewing and Malt Production. In 2008 the brewery was once again under Czech control when Ballena a.s. purchased it from the American owners. The new owners also resurrected Herold Weizen. In 2009 Herold Brewery received a prestigious reward. The brewery of the year.

Portfolio

Filtered and unfiltered. Pasteurised and unpasteurised. The selection consist of Czech classics – traditional Czech lager, Herold semi-dark, Herold black lager, Herold Pšenice (wheat), Střízlík Herold (non-alcoholic). Limited edition: Bohemian Bronze lager 14°and Herold Bastard. Great quality and price.
