The first written mention of Litovel Brewery comes from 1291. The current brewery has been in operation since 1893 with production of 226,000 hl per year. Due to its unique quality Litovel beer received a nickname „Moravian Pilsen“. It is one of few breweries that brew beer in a traditional way. Beer Královské pivo Litovel won many prizes in the prestigious brewing exhibitions and competitions, such as Pivex and Pivní Pečeť.
