Czech beer exports enjoy double-digit growth

Czech breweries exported a record 5.16m hectolitres of beer last year, an increase of over 11% in 2018, according to fresh data released by the Czech Beer and Malt Association.

For the first time in history, the volume of beer in tanks and kegs surpassed bottled and canned ber.

Czech Republic's beer production keeps growing, mainly driven by interest abroad - exports have grown over the past eleven years by a whopping 62 percent. Beer exports to EU countries increased by 10 percent last year with Slovakia, Germany and Poland as the biggest importers.
