Czech economy to grow in 2018

IMF projections suggest the Czech economy will grow at a rate of 3.7% this year and at 3.2% in 2019. That’s slightly down compared with 3.9% and 3.4% forecasts of the Czech National Bank. The IMF sees mid-term Czech growth averaging at 2.5%.


The Czech economy faces no real threats with relatively high economic growth foreseen for the next few years, according to the International Monetary Fund evaluation of the country.


Last year, with 4,6 % GDP growth, we could see a significant rise in salaries across industries. Salaries growth across private as well as public sector has averaged at about 10% overall. This year the growth in salaries is predicted at 7%.


The main industries are traditionally automotive industry, processing industry, engineering, chemical and energy.
