Prague recorded the lowest unemployment rate among EU regions

Czech capital Prague posts the lowest unemployment rate in the European Union of 1.3% in March 2019.

According the recently published Eurostat data, four Czech regions have also been ranked among the ten regions with the lowest unemployment rates of young people aged 15-24. These were South-West with 4.1%, Central Bohemia with 5.0%, Central Moravia with 5.1% and Prague with 5.6%.

Unemployment as a whole was 3% in March 2019.

The highest unemployment rate was recorded at overseas department of France's Mayotte, amounting to 35.1%.
