Unemployment in the Czech Republic lowest in Europe

The unemployment rate in the Czech Republic hit a new low in June, dropping to 2.9%, continuing a downward trend and reaching new 20-year lows.

There were approximately 220,000 registered unemployed people throughout the country in June, according to new date released by the Czech Labor Office. That makes for the lowest unemployment rate in the country since June 1997.

It is better than Germany, which has the second lowest, with 3.8%, and much lower than the EU everage, of 7.7%.
