UAE trade not affected by crisis

There are no worrying indicators about the UAE foreign trade during the current global financial crises, said yesterday Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade. "Participation by foreign exhibitors at exhibitions organised in the UAE rose 30 per cent since the start of the year as compared with the same period last year. This underlines the vibrancy of the UAE economy and attractiveness of local markets in terms of investment and marketing," Shaikha Lubna said. She added government spending on ifrastructure during a year had underpinned the confidence of investors and the local and foreign private sector in the UAE market.
