Tradition of milling rolls manufacturing in VUHZ dates back up to 1972. The production of rolls is realized in VUHZ foundry, specialized in centrifugal casting. The process of centrifugal casting gives better properties of the casting in comparison with a stationary cast, such as fine-grain structure, higher purity and homogeneity of thematerial, and better mechanical properties of the casting. At the same time, it enables full control over the whole casting process and ensures, in the case of milling rolls, the uniform hardness ofthe working surface of the roll. Knowledge accumulated during decades of VUHZ own research in the field of casting technologies and materials, strong quality control together with experienced and skilled people resulted in continuous improvement of the properties of VUHZ centrifugal cast chilled castings.

VUHZ firm isequipped with all necessary production technology, as well as certified laboratories, which guarantee high quality of used technological process, used materials and products. Thanks to all this VUHZ offers a quality product that can be used for many years. Optimal depth of the chilled layer enables restoration of used rolls either by grinding or fluting up to 5 - 6 times with unchanged characteristics. The properties of centrifugal cast chilled milling rolls allows their wide use, generally everywhere where the high durability of working layer and at the same time high mechanic stability of the whole body is required. The most common sphere of use VUHZ supplies rolls for various applications in the food processing or fodder industries, such as milling standsfor milling of flour, sugar, salt, spice, grinding of coffee, for various crushers and grinders. The required granulation of the final product can be achieved by a corresponding surface finish of the roll.
