Average Wage Increased by 6.2% in Real Terms

In Q2 2018 the average gross monthly nominal wage per full time equivalent (FTE) employee in the national economy increased by 8.6% compared to the same period of the previous year. In real terms it grew by 6.2%. The median wage was CZK 27 236 (approx. USD 1 231).

Czech Statistical Office: In Q2 2018 the average gross monthly nominal wage (hereinafter only as ‘the average wage’) per FTE employee in the national economy was CZK 31 851 (approx. USD 1 439), which was by CZK 2 515 (8.6%) more than in the same period of 2017.

The median wage was CZK 27 236 and increased by 9.4% compared to the same period of the previous year. The male median wage reached CZK 29 782 and the female one was CZK 24 514.
