Okin BPS announced plans to invest about $23 million into a new U.S. headquarters in San Antonio. The Czech Republic-based company picked San Antonio after a two-year search.
More than half of the new positions are expected to pay over $50,000 a year, according to figures provided by the city. Michal Jelínek, majority owner of Okin, said that the business is going to be very local.
OKIN BPS has received a $6.6 million Texas Enterprise Fund grant to bring its headquarters to San Antonio. A local incentive package will be presented to the San Antonio City Council for a vote in November.
