Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš visited The United States between March 5 – 8 and held variety of important meetings including his White House and Oval Office debut while meeting President Donald Trump. In the House of Representatives, Babis met with the Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and the leadership of the Congressional Czech Caucus. Among his visit agenda, Babiš also presented the National Innovation Strategy to members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, met with the director of the National Science Foundation and visited University of Maryland. He also paid a visit to the 1776 Incubator and the Czech IT company CloverDX. The Prime Minister paid tribute to the memory of the first Czechoslovak president Masaryk by his statue in downtown Washington on the day of the anniversary of his birth. On the final day of his visit, and joined by the acting Secretary of Defense he paid his respects at the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial.
