GE Aviation successfully test new Advanced Turboprop engine in Prague

Thanks to that, the Czech Republic is now among 'elite club' of countries developing, producing and exporting engines for aviation

In accordance with their plan for the end of 2017, GE Aviation announced successful testing of the most modern Advanced Turboprop (ATP) engine. The cooperation between GE Aviation and Czech government on this project started in 2016 and is aimed to employ over 500 people involved in R&D and production of cutting edge aviation engines. Once in full capacity, the production will supply over 400 engines per year. Advanced Turboprop (ATP) engine will power Textron Aviation’s new private plane Cessna Denali, which is expected to fly in late 2018.
