If Washington restricts imports of aluminum and steel, the EU threatens with retaliatory duties on Bourbon or Harley-Davidson motorcycles

Last week the US commerce Department urged President Donald Trump to impose quotas on foreign-made metals. “We stand ready to react swiftly and appropriately in case our exports are negatively affected by any restrictive trade measures from the United States,” said the spokesman of the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

There are plans to retaliate with tariffs on products such as for example Harley-Davidson motorcycles, whiskey Boourbon, potatoes, tomatoes, rum, and orange juice.

Donald Trump should decide about the plan to impose curbs on steel import by April 11.
