Iron scrape exports from the Czech Republic reached an all-time high in 2017. The export of the steel-making raw material in 11M 2017 totalled over 2.1 million ton, daily E15 informs. Vítkovice Steel terminated steel production in 2015. The facility used an average of 145,000 tons of scrape p.a. Ostrava-based ArcelorMittal used substantially less scrape in 2017 and the bulk thus has to be exported now.
