25 electric trains will be delivered by Skoda Group to Bulgaria, in total for 13 billion CZK

The new contract signed by Škoda Group is for 20 four-wagon barrier-free units, with option for 5 more.

Full service for 15 years is also included. The trains are based on the RegioPartner type, which includes 3OO seats and are fully air-conditioned with minimal noise.

Passengers will be pleased with ergonomic seats, air-conditioned interiors, wi-fi and an advanced exterior and interior camera system. The trains will have a partially low-floor design to ensure full accessibility for all passengers. There will also be multi-functional compartments for disabled passengers, prams and bicycles, he added. The trainsets will be equipped with Škoda's advanced digital technologies to ensure greater reliability and passenger safety, and ETCS Level 2, the highest European security standard.

According to the CEO of Škoda Group, Petr Novotný, European railways will be soon occupied with nearly 400 of their electric units. Their electric units reach a maximum speed of 160 kilometres per hour and will be ready for operation on lines with twenty-five kilovolt electrification.  Currently Škoda´s electric trains are operating in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia and are being delivered to Estonia.

Škoda Group is currently Europe's leading manufacturer of public transport vehicles. Operating profit EBITDA, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation, exceeded half a billion Czech crowns in the last year.
