The month of October belongs to Škoda in terms of number of electric cars sold. For many decades Škoda has been the clear leader in the segment of new passenger car sales on the Czech market. However, the sub-category of electric cars has been dominated by the American manufacturer Tesla.

According to the statistics from the Association of Automobile Importers on new car registrations in the Czech Republic, the domestic manufacturer from Mladá Boleslav has claimed the top position. In October it had been reported that 464 Škoda Enyaqs registration plates were issued, compared to the 347 registrations of Tesla.

In total 1 475 new electric vehicles were purchased in October. This indicates that the interest in electric light commercial vehicles is also slowly picking up this year. Their share in the SDA – Car Importers Association -  statistics for the first ten months of this year is still only 2,34 %, but Ford, for example, has already registered 175 of them.
