The Třebíč-based company MICo has concluded a contract for the supply of titanium heat exchangers intended for water cooling for the Akkuya nuclear power plant in Turkey. The contract is worth hundreds of millions of CZK. The construction is being carried out by the Russian nuclear energy corporation Rosatom. The completed power plant will have four reactors of the VVER 1200/509 type with a total output of 4456 MW. In June 2020, MICo also won tenders for the production of three heat exchangers for a steam power plant in Germany and a larger number of tanks for the Hinkley Point nuclear power plant in the UK.
