Czech companies have been suffering from a shortage of workers for a long time now, but they mostly do not want to hire the retrained workforce or trained people from other fields. According to a survey done by ČSOB, one third of companies do recruit without the required experience. About 15 % of companies would only hire retrained employees in exceptional cases. Half of the companies do not accept them at all. People without long-term experience and expertise in the same field will rarely find their place in some companies. Retraining of the unemployed people is also financially supported by the state through the Labor Office of the Czech Republic.
