The CzechInvest agency is as part of the National Recovery Plan preparing
an Internationalization project, the aim of which is to help Czech startups
expand to foreign markets. It should support up to 100 startups by 2025 with a
total amount of CZK 215m. Another project, to which almost 114 startups have
already signed up as part of the first call, is Technological Incubation, which
is aimed at budding entrepreneurs and students in the early stages of business. Petr
Očko, deputy for digitization and innovation, who temporarily heads the
CzechInvest agency, said that one crown invested by CzechInvest generated an
average of almost thirteen crowns of turnover. The three most common areas of
business are web services, e-commerce and marketing, and fintech.
