CzechInvest Agency plans to support the development of key technological areas of the Czech Republic through a new project Technological Incubation with CZK 750m. Key areas include mobility, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. In 2021, CzechInvest helped to process applications for the Covid Rent and Aid after Tornado compensation programmes. Last year, the agency provided support to 53 new investment projects, which is almost twice as many year-on-year. 36 companies applied for the investment incentive and promised to invest CZK 12.46bn in the Czech Republic. Eva Jungmannová, Director of the Investment and Foreign Activities Division, said that most investment projects were negotiated in the South Moravian and Moravian-Silesian regions. The investments will create 4,000 jobs across the Czech Republic.
