Energo-Pro completes USD 600m power plant in Turkey

All four Francis turbines are now in operation and 280 MW of power are installed. At full operation, the power plant should produce 850 GWh per year, and for 2021 it expects to exceed 650 GWh.

Energo-Pro has completed the construction of the Alpaslan 2 hydroelectric power plant in Turkey. All four Francis turbines are now in operation and 280 MW of power are installed. Alpaslan 2 has become the largest hydropower plant in the Energo-Pro Group's portfolio. The total investment reached ca. USD 600m. The group financed the construction mainly from its own resources, and in the final phase used financing from the MUFG and ČEB consortium in the amount of USD 175m with insurance from EGAP. At full operation, the power plant should produce 850 GWh per year, and for 2021 it expects to exceed 650 GWh.
