The capital wants to accelerate projects increasing the energy self-sufficiency of the metropolis

Reducing energy dependence on oil and gas supplies from Russia is becoming a security necessity and a political priority for Prague. This was stated by Deputy Mayor Petr Hlubuček (STAN), who added that the capital wants to accelerate projects increasing the energy self-sufficiency of the metropolis. Among the measures being prepared is, for example, the requirement that developers design new residential and commercial projects in the city so that heating is provided by emission-free heat sources based on renewable energy sources (RES).
