ŠKODA
TRANSPORTATION has won a tender for low-floor trams worth almost CZK 3bn in the
German federal republic of Brandenburg. It will deliver a total of 24 ForCity
Plus trains to the cities of Frankfurt an der Oder, Brandenburg an der Havel
and Cottbus. These are one-way, three-section, 70% low-floor cars with two
swivel and one non-swivel chassis. They will include an information system with
several screens and panels and a camera system. The contract includes an option
for another 21 trams.
